culture and history - to be enjoyed with the subtle
conveniences of modern day living!
From our location in the heart of Stellenbosch you can
discover today’s local talents and experience a bygone era…
Whether you are exploring the Cape, doing business, visiting
the university or enjoying a honeymoon, Caledon Villa
(declared as a National Monument) will cater for your
individual needs.
Our well-established Edwardian guest house is decorated with
antique furniture and heirlooms fro m the Krige family, who
were the original owners of the house and who have spread
their roots in Stellenbosch for 9 generations. With its 15
stylish rooms guests can choose between a bed and
breakfast or self-catering stay.
Start your day with a hearty breakfast on the terrace,
overlooking the swimming pool and garden with the high steeple
of the historic church as background.
Enjoy a walk through Stellenbosch, explore our beautiful
surroundings or simply enjoy our garden, relax at the swimming
pool or hide away in the gazebo…
The library is definitely Johan's favourite spot. Here the
unique Krige Family Archive is housed. Chat to Johan about
Genealogy and Heraldy, or Politics and Sport, or for that
matter any other topic. Being an engineer, he has developed an
interest in a variety of subjects! We will endeavour to make
you feel at home immediately and enjoy assisting you in your
planning (bookings for rented cars,
airport transfer etc.) so that you get the very best out of
your journey.
Explore package
After many years of assisting his guests with the planning
of their holidays, Johan has created a 7-day Explore Package
so that you can enjoy the area from Caledon Villa's central
and abundant locations. Please do not hesitate to contact us
